We know how important it is for you that submission dates and deadlines are complied with and that the translations are reliably accepted at the respective authority in the target country.
That is why we attach the utmost importance to compliance with deadlines and the selection of court interpreters who produce certified translations. On request, we will be pleased to obtain all other necessary official authentications if they are requested by the authorities of the target country.
We constantly strive to organise your certified translations so that the time and effort required on your part is kept to a minimum. We supply our translations by post or, if possible, with an electronic signature. On request, we will also be pleased to send you a scan of the certified translation in advance by e-mail.
From your online enquiry to the delivery of the translation, you theoretically do not have to visit our office a single time, which is particularly appreciated by our customers who live or have their headquarters outside of Graz, Linz or Vienna.
Certified translations are primarily required when a document in a foreign language has to be submitted to an authority or a court. This primarily relates to documents such as:
In Austria, translations of documents that have to be submitted to an authority or a court must be produced and certified by “sworn and court-certified interpreters”. These court interpreters are tested and sworn by the Ministry of Justice.
Certified translations bear the date of issue and the signature of the court interpreter as well as a clause confirming that the translation corresponds to the full content of the source text.
However, the work of a court interpreter is not to be confused with the responsibilities of a notary public who certifies signatures or produces certified duplicates of the original of a public document. In Austria, a notary public is not authorised to issue a certified translation.
